Since I posted last about our move we’ve been working on getting settled in and I’ve been working on some of our paper goodies for our upcoming April wedding! I am lucky enough to be working with the team at Amorology regularly with their wonderful brides and even luckier to be one of their brides as well! In the spirit of all things love I thought I’d share their blog post about us including some engagement shots from my amazingly talented friend and bridesmaid Nicole Keel of Clarity by Nicole. We’ve Moved!

2013 is going to be a big year for us! We’re getting married in April and yes that means I have to take myself on as a client! On top of that as of this last Monday we became residents in the Bay Area – Walnut Creek to be exact! So big changes and exciting times ahead. While San Diego will always have my heart and be my home I am excited for new opportunities up here and the chance to keep growing this little dream of a business!

Matt + Amber: San Diego Brewing Inspired Soiree

Hi Guys! It’s been a bit since my last post about my wave of August weddings but I finally have a fun sneak peak to share of Matt & Amber’s beautiful black & gold beer inspired wedding. They tied in inspirations from local San Diego breweries as a fun twist. As usual the wonderfully creative team at Amorology worked their magic and transformed this space! I recently had the pleasure of helping a friend create an inspired program to fit her dreamy nuptials in Big Sur. The location was B-E-A-U-tiful! Did I mention beautiful? Anyways, when Liz asked me to help out with the programs she sent me a few ideas of what she liked and then sent me a photo of the ceremony site and boy did that get my head spinning with ideas. They wanted something to tie in their fun loving personalities with their soft color palatte and bring in elements that tied the program to the view point overlooking the ocean in Big Sur where they’d say the big “I DO”! We incorporated some fun typefaces with their colors and the layout was inspired by something that the bride had previously seen. Printed on lovely linen I think they were a perfect touch to such a special moment for such a wonderful couple on their big day! Hope you enjoy and congrats again L&A!

Summer Love

Man oh man has this summer gone by quickly and been busy! I’ve been a bit MIA since my last blog but I am back! This summer was full of projects and weddings and August was by far my busiest month since deciding to start and commit to this adventure! I had 5 fabulous weddings, 1 surprise birthday invite suite & decorations project, custom thank you cards and an invitation suite. Oh and big news I just took on my most challenging client ever – myself! Yep that’s right – I got engaged on July 20th and couldn’t be happier or more excited! Needless to say it’s got my mind spinning with ideas especially as I worked on all of these lovely weddings! Anyways, here’s a peek at what all was inspired in August! Hoping to get some photos of these fabulous weddings to share on my site soon!

You are my Sunshine!!! I’ve been playing with this phrase/these lyrics for the last month or so trying to find the right design for them and then when I was shipping an Etsy order of my Dr. Seuss chevron heart it popped into my head! That print has had such a warm response from people on Etsy and so it pushed me even more to create another print from that inspiration and I have to say I adore this one! I think it’s bright and cheery and absolutely embodies what the words are saying. Everyone has that someone in their life that is their ray of sunshine! I hope you enjoy this print as much as I do! The print is now available on my Etsy shop in an 8×10 print!

Happy Friday! I am so happy and excited to share a sneak peek of an escort card design for an upcoming wedding of the absolutely lovely Ryan & Jamie! It’s been SO SO SO much fun working with them on their invites and now on their big day! Their Tea themed wedding is being dreamed up by the fabulous team at Amorology and I can’t wait to see all of their paper elements that I have been working on all together on the big day in July! DIY: Patio Table Transformation

This weekend we tackled a few DIY restoration projects around the house. One of which was a fun an easy transformation of a neat aluminum patio table that my mom found in her neighborhood. It was very worn when we picked it up but after scraping off most of the old paint to smooth out the table top surface and a couple of coats of spray paint the table was as good as new and perfect for our yard! We went with Rust-oleum spray paint in Lagoon ($3.65 each) to add a fun pop of color to the back yard and highlight the neat pattern on the top of the table. Since the table was a free find all we had to buy was a plastic painting tarp to cover the grass area we were painting on and two cans of spray paint! The best part about it was that the whole project cost under $12.00 to complete – best feeling ever! So grab your spray paint and get creative!

Lindsay + Robert

I am so very excited to share some of the lovely images of Lindsay & Robert’s big day – compliments of Clarity by Nicole Photography! Their invitations (photos to come soon) and day of paper elements were inspired by an elegant “Deep Sea” theme with jewel tone inspired colors of purple & teal.We also wanted to tie in the city of San Diego by naming the tables after some of the beach cities in the area and local beaches. Lindsay’s sister Lauren (who happens to be one my oldest and dearest friends) and I took a trip to a local thrift market where we loaded up on vintage frames that we painted to match the colors for the seating chart, bar menu, Mr. & Mrs. signs and the candy bar. The bride and groom decided on CD’s as favors to their guests which included a number of songs from the wedding and reception as well as some other songs that were their favorites. There was a fun photo booth with props and a delicious candy bar. The gorgeous flowers were done by Posies Flowers and it was truly a beautiful day and the sun was out in true San Diego style.

Congrats again Lindsay & Robert and thanks for letting me be a part of your big day!
